Yonah — Sculpted Character

A hand-sculpted clay character, photographed and composited into digital worlds — where the sculptor's hand meets Photoshop and After Effects.

Yonah, a hand-sculpted clay boy with yarn hair, composited running across a cracked desert under a turquoise-and-orange sky

Yonah began as clay — a character sculpted by hand, with yarn hair and stitched clothes — then crossed into the digital world through photography, Photoshop compositing, and After Effects.

The piece is a small manifesto: the same hands that draw, paint, and sculpt can carry a physical thing into a rendered world without losing its warmth. Traditional craft first, modern tools second, one continuous gesture.
